Last year I was pleasantly surprised by theand today we read about the successor. The LG G Pro 2 will be available soon in Korea and later in the US.
The G Pro 2 provides a slightly increased screen size with most of the improvements looking to come in the software side of the house. The cool Knock feature that lets you turn on your screen by tapping on it has been updated and named Knock Code. With Knock Code you can actually turn on your device using one of 86,367 tapping combinations.
The display is 5.9 inches and has that great minimal bezel that recent LG devices have implemented. You will see a screen-to-frame ratio of 77.2 percent, which is very impressive for today’s modern smartphones.
Specifications of the LG G Pro 2 include:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (2.26 GHz Quad-Core)
- Qualcomm Adreno 330 GPU
- 5.9-inch Full HD IPS (1920 x 1080)
- 3GB DDR3 RAM / 16GB/32GB eMMC ROM / microSD slot
- Rear 13.0MP OIS+ / Front 2.1MP
- 3,200mAh removable battery
- Dimensions of : 157.9 x 81.9 x 8.3mm and 172 grams
As you can see, the LG G Pro 2 is an impressive device with memory expansion capability and a removable battery that makes it a perfect device for the enterprise customer.
LG continues to use the back button scheme and I still haven’t warmed up to using them yet. I suppose if I used on of their devices as my primary on a daily basis I might find the design acceptable.
